Reccomended Hardware
It's suggested you have a V.90 or V.92 capable modem. Modems with older protocols (V.34 etc) will work, but with less features and at slower speeds. If the modem is not completely hardware based, like an HSP, HCP, Riser, or WinModem, you can experence performance penalties. If you think you need a new computer because your modem is not up to your expectations, consider purchasing a replacement modem instead. You will want one with compatibility for DOS and Windows, or uses a 9 or 25 pin serial port.
